What is this on my mushroom rock ?

It does appear to be either a hydroid or aiptasia from the images I saw online. How can I tell the difference and if I need to rid them, how can I? I dipped this piece in Coral rx for a solid 10 minutes prior to placing in the tank.
Do they look like this:
Do they glow under blue lights?
It could be feather dusters. Hydroids look similar to feather dusters, but my hydroids would glow under blue/uv lights. Both can have a tube base.
Aiptasia has larger tentacles, where hydroids have hair like protrusions. No tube structure at the base either.

Doesn't really look like the hydroids, seems to have a tube structure at the base, but wider then a feather duster.
