What is this on my mushroom?

Long filament black/brown thing coming from the "mouth" area.
Thoughts?

Looks like its poopin to me. Expelling its extra zooxanthellae algae. Have you been feeding it lately?

I don't spot feed it. I do 1/2 cube mysis once per day and 2tbsp of phyto every other day. That's it.

Should I be feeding it directly?

U don't have to but lately I have been with mine and seem to be fuller and have noticed more growth, remember there actually an anemone not really a mushroom. I give mine mysis about 1-2 times a week and they seem to love it. Here's a couple of mine. The first pic is one I just got the other day
