What is this on my new rock?

Just purchased some base white rock. There is something on the rock. I appears on other pieces of rock. Some time a little shine to it. Thanks all

Looks like you have the mixed "base rock" we all get now. Maybe it's quartz, or some other type pebble mixed in with the run. My "Live Rock" came all purple and stuff - I suspect it was beet sugar coloring as my cleanup crew has eaten much of the purple up. I wouldn't sweat it - my guess is it's a piece of natural rock in the argonite they make rocks from these days.

May be minerals often found on wild rock or man made rock
