What is this on my rock?

Can anyone help me identify this red stuff growing on my rocks?

Its kind of hard to tell from those pictures. How does it feel to the touch? Does it come off the rocks easily? If I had to guess I'd go with Botryocladia scottsbergii.

Yes, it comes off easily. It's not a bubble but a flat mushroom look a like.

It's not slimmy like nuisance Algea. At first I was under the impression it was a coraline algea and not it is growing flat. Making tiny shelves that come off easy.

cyano is what i thought when i saw the first pic. you can do the H2O2 test. Take a chuck toss it in some 3% peroxide and give it 24 hours, if that chuck turns green it is cyano.

lmoa, no, it is not cyano, do weekly 10% WC. Again, no hair and bubbles. Leaning towards macro algea.

Found a thread and it is shelf coraline algea. Really small and we learn something new every day...

I had the same..it's shelf coraline algae.. you adding lots of calcium to your tank?

My calcium is stable at 430 with the use of auto doser. Found a thread online that someone was buying this algae for $60 on a rock to seed his tank lol
