I noticed this white film on the underside of my rock a few days ago. Tonite I scrubbed most of it off. Comes off in chunks and floats away. The entire underside was a solid film of white.
32G Biocube running almost 3 years now. Everything is stable.

Some sort of sponges. I have quite a bit under several corners.

Anything to be concerned with? Would it be prudent to try and remove it?

Sponges are a beneficial filter feeder. No cause for concern and no need to remove:) happy reefing.

No need to concern if it stay under the rock. Just some filter feeders. If it grows between corals then it might irritate it. In that case I'll clean it off from corals.
