What is this on my snail?

Got a cuc shipment from reefcleaners today, and two snails had a growth in them. Any idea what it is? Seemed harder texture than any algae I have seen.

looks like Vermetid snails to me. im probally wrong thou not been in saltwater hobby for long

Probably some kind of fleshy red macroalgae, like Gracilaria. These can be highly variable (ex. they can be brown) and are harmless. Vermetid snails do not grow branches and Sargassum has a more "differetiated" thallus.
