What is this on my wrasses head?

Fish has been in qt for 3 weeks and a few days now, just noticed this on its head and not sure what it is. It’s eating perfectly good and not acting weird at all, constantly swimming around. Not sure if it’s an injury or a disease

Pics are a little fuzzy but looks like remnants of a gash or injury healing
If y ou want to safeguard or if it becomes bacterial, seachem neoplex otherwise kanaplex will address this or else maintain Goid water quality and diet and keep an eye on it

Thank you, just nervous cause adding it to the display tank in about a week and don’t want to bring in a disease with it

What have you treated it with while it has been in quarantine? I know it is tough to get proper medications in Canada.....

Haven’t treated it with anything. Isn’t showing any signs of disease except this marking on its head

The mark on the head is likely just a scrape from running into something, but I can't rule out flukes.

Observational quarantine is very risky. Fish can harbor sub acute infections that can blow up on you when you move them to the display tank. Flukes are the worst in that regard, but marine ich can also do that. Velvet and Brooklynella typically will not persist through an observational quarantine of 45 days. Hyposalinity controls ich and flukes, so that is what I generally recommend for Canada and people in the EU that can't get good meds.

That’s a really good idea that I never even thought of (only about a year in this hobby so still a newbie) should I do a freshwater dip? I was also debating ordering all kinds of meds on eBay. It’s expensive but I want prazipro more then anything to treat flukes. What meds would you recommend?
