Is this hair algae on the rock?

Does it blow off with a turkey baster or does it need to be plucked? If it blows off it's not algae.

Kind of looks like dinos with the bubbles forming in the mass. If you have access to a microscope, that can really help identify

Looks like GHA and some dinos to me.

I'm going to be getting microscope tomorrow to see if I can get a better idea of what they are. The problem is that the hairs are growing on my new frags. I just dosed them with hydrogen peroxide though. I'm hoping that'll help a bit.

You can get a pretty good cheap one that gives you enough power to identify what it is you have. Treatment options vary greatly so thats going to be key.

The best thing to do around the plugs is scrub them gently with a soft toothbrush and a turkey baster to suck off or blow off loose particles. If it's just on the plug and not ticking off the corals then it's optional until you ID IMO.

Yup, I'm getting the microscope today so I should know more soon.

Here’s photo I got from the microscope

Looks like Dinos and GHA (Derbesia) to my non-professional eye. At what magnification were these pictures taken?

The little round and brown organisms are the dinos, they should have been moving around too.

The GHA could be bryopsis too. It looks a little feathery on second glance. Hard to tell

Can't really tell anything from this image. Too blurry and true identification comes from the microscopic views. There are a ton of different "fixes" that can be taken depending on the pest as well as your specific tank inhabitants.
