What is this organism

This growth appeared in my 1 year old aquarium about 3 months ago and has been growing slowly but steadily. I have tried to remove it but it comes back again. Any information will be appreciated.

Aiptasia. Get it out.

Aiptasia. There are various means of dealing with them, but you need to get rid of it. If you touch it, it should contract. Then put super glue gel over it to kill it.

Aiptasia-X, pepperment shrimp, or if your tank is big enough, Copperband or Longnose Butterflies eat them.
