So ive got ALOT of these things in my tank and it looks like they are stinging my corals. they aren't vermicid's cause when you pull it out of the substrate its a tiny little spec thats attached to the sand not like a "shell" or anything. the "tentacle" looks barbed as well not smooth and stringy like a vermicid...and yes i know i have two vermicid on that frag

What are they first off and how do i get rid of them?

sorry, i was mistaken. Was thinking of a different worm at the time and they are harmless worms, these spaghetti worms.

If there's just one strand coming out I would rule out spahgeti worm. I had alot of them and think they were great-but they run a rust color and multiple strands scouring the substrate, and I caught one spawning in my tank and was able to see the actual worm(this one was big) ill try and find the pics so you can compare at home.

Digitate Hydroid. Nasty lil buggers that pack a nasty lil sting for their size.
Getting rid of them is near impossible. Tweezers for manual removal or super glue gel. Keeping your water column extra extra clean may help in starving them out.
Good luck :)
