What is this? Pic heavy

So in light of the bright moon, and lunar effects on my ai Prime HD I caught a glimpse of this huge snail in my 14g biocube, I haven't ever put one in as big as this one is(golf ball size maybe a lil smaller). It appears to be black and have a pretty good size trunk, snout? Whatever. Can someone please ID and tell me if this thing is ok in my tank? #reefsquad

I will try that this weekend and post pics if I can get him. I know snails grow, but darn! I haven't ever seen this guy and considering my tank is small, I thought I would've seen him before.
Is there a bad type of snail? I'm not real concerned although it does worry me that he will drag one of my sps out of the frag rack.

For sps? Not that i know of. The photo i provided eats zoas. But i dont think yours is a sundial. Could be a grown colonista or ^^^mexican turbo. Its mouth has the same features as one.

Banded trochus hover directly underneight the shell. This little fella shell points out to the side

We have these and it's a turbo snail like BMW540 shows. We have had one for about 2 1/2 years if not longer and he is huge easily 4 inches.
