What is this purple on my rock

Is it good or bad some sort of algae it's got a bunch of little hairs or somthing on it

Looks like cyano algae. Fairly normal in the early stages of a tank to get some of that. It will generally grow in areas of lower flow first.
How new is this tank?

I wouldn't do anything. Your tank is still new and needs to go through the "ugly stage" of algae growth. Anything you do to try and ****** that process could just make things worse. Give it a month or two and see where you are at, is my suggestion. Remember - nothing good happens fast in a reef tank.
