What is this pvc part called?

The female ring rotates freely and it goes from 1-1/2 to 1 inch. Trying to buy one to screw into the return pump. or if anyone can link me a site where i can buy it from, that would be great too

That is one side of a unit. If the manufacture is stamped on it you can purchase another and screw it on. But different unions may have different thread pitches.

It’s a 1” union. When you buy one it has the female part you have and also the male threads you don’t show. I don’t think they show the male end separately. If your pump has a 1” male thread outlet then you need to get a threaded union vs a slip union for glueing. Place Teflon tape on pump threads.

Yup, it’s half of a sch 80 PVC union. Yours is slip, here’s a photo of a threaded one for reference.
