Dark red and kind like moss growing on the rocks. Does not blow off with turkey baster and you can’t really pick it off either but it’s soft and bushy like moss. Emerald crabs eat it but can’t keep up. Any ideas?

Check out "red turf algae" and see if there is a resemblance

Heavy sigh... yeah. That’s it.

The next in a long line of invaders trying to conquer my reef lately.

Reading up on it on R2R, It looks like people have had little to no success with Vibrant but pretty good success managing it with with urchins. I’ve never had an urchin. I’m not too worried about them eating coralline but I’d rather not have a field of broken coral, or worse fallen rock from their bulldozer behavior. My rock is well stacked but not cemented. Does that happen a lot or is it over blown?

I’ve also seen people use peroxide. Thoughts on that? If you’ve used it, how did you do it?
