What is this red thing?

Anyone have an ID on this little red thing? It’s kind of hard and not moving but when I pull it more comes out. Macroalgae perhaps? It’s not hard enough to be a vermetid snail.

looks like a vermetid snail, only other thing I could think of would be some sort of fan worm

Yes definitely some kind feather duster/tubeworm.

Hmm perhaps I do have some colonial hydroids that look like that.

When I see stuff like that I just remove it. Harmless or not, does not belong on my coral. If on LR I wouldn’t care. But on the flesh of a coral… I’d remove
