What is this slimy substance

Hi,

Could you please tell what the white slimy substance in my reef aquarium is (please see the two videos embedded)? Not sure if this is related to an active disease outbreak (possibly ich) in my tank. Thank you.

Not sure why one would Turn off your UV as this would/should help to reduce/kill the bacteria bloom that is occurring in the tank. Also why leave the skimmer off? I an understand cleaning it out more often but leaving it off?

The other two suggestions I agree with but you need to figure out the source of the problem not just try to remove the symptoms.

do you have any wrasses? If so this is what they weave/secrete to sleep in.
