What is this? Some sort of jelly fish?

I saw this critter swimming around my nano while the pumps were off. At first I saw it on the glass scooting across. It then started swimming in the water column. It swam like a jelly fish. I then saw a second one. They are only about 1/8” circular. I would like to ID and then see if its good or bad. This is the best videos I could get. The first is when it was on the glass. The second when it was free swimming. Thanks in advance. I don’t know how to attach the videos. I will keep trying. Any ideas? I took it on my iPhone.

Is it the first pic or second pic?

#2 = Aptasia

No...it does not look like either one. I think it might be an upside down jelly fish..

You could also take a screen capture of the video paused. Do your best to make sure it's a good image (pause at a point where blurriness/movement is at a minimum), but that might be the best alternative if youtube isn't something you're comfortable with.

It's a Medusa hydroid. You can get rid of it if you want, but it won't hurt anything. It'll disappear on its own in a day or two anyway, along with any others you may see. They are common in new tanks, but they don't last long.

So I looked up the Medusa Hydroid and it doesn't have long tentacles. It has very short tentacles, just looks like a soft disc pulsating. Thank you for your input.

Oh now that makes sense. I did not know they had different stages. So once they grow past the medusa stage will they then become hydroids which I have heard are a problem.
