What is this sponge like thing?

There’s this sponge thing growing on a blastos, it’s slowly growing bigger. At first I thought it’s a new head but it does not look like it. It’s fuzzy looking and has a tip which I can’t capture in my phone. What is this and should I remove it?

Looks like a pineapple sponge.

A pic under white light would make identification easier. However, it appears to be a pineapple sponge, aka q-tip sponge. Harmless filter feeders and usually go away on their own. It is possible for them to grow in your drain and cause a blockage, but it has never happened to me or anyone that I personally know.
