What is this sponge looking thing with polyps

I got this small chuck of live rock from a store with mushrooms on it

I examined and cleaned the rock of what I didnt like and could see
It wasnt that bad
I did notice this white stuff on the top of the rock
I paid it no mind as I though it was glue from the mushroom or something.

Come 3 weeks later this white stuff has grown and it has polyps now.

So it kinda has a leather like appearance

Should I wait and see as its on a small rock and I could just cut off the shrooms I wanna keep and chuck that white area
But yea what yall think

Looks like a soft coral, sarcophyton? They can get big but otherwise not a problem.

Def think its a leather which i think is cool
Probs have to relocate it cause I prefer not to frag in this tank

almost looks like a weeping willow leather…really cool!

Looks baby pink devil hands leather coral, usually they grow out from the little root when mother colony was removed incompletely.
