What is this??? Sponges???

Hey trying to figure out what this is. I think they are sponges but im not sure its a fairly new tank. Its only been setup since Late June. The tank has been great so far!! Just not sure what these are. There are already pineapple sponges showing up in the overflow. these are in the sump and overflow. Thanks

Yeah most likely some type of sponge

I had those in my tank for awhile.I've been neglecting it the last few weeks and haven’t noticed any recently
