I just noticed this star fish looking thing on the front glass of my tank. Is it good/bad for the tank? Pic attached. It's on the top left corner of the candy cane.

I don't know if it's bad. I have little brittle starts just covering my tank that I just leave alone.

This one was missing some legs but seemed to be doing fine a couple months ago.

Need some better and more up-close shots. But, that could be a serpent starfish. If it is, good find.

Yea, I cannot tell if its a little Serpent or Brittle Star or a Anthelia polyp ???

Cheers, Todd

This is a common micro brittle stars, They are actually a good thing as they help with your CUC. Most of the time these can come in on live rock or frags, and never be detected for months cause they usually come out more at night.

Oh yea and It Is not uncommon for them to actually have more than 5 legs.
