I've had this on my rocks for as long as I can remember, it wasn't much of an issue when I stopped having corals but one of the big issues was that it would grow on my corals and irritate them until they died. Now that I have corals again I want to get rid of it. What is it? I don't think it's dinoflagellates. (Apologies for the photos uploading sideways)

Pictures a little fuzzy but looks like either calothrix or lingbya which are nuisance algaes

I looked up both of them and I don't think it's either of them - it's not slimy/doesn't have air bubbles, and it seems to grow across the surface rather than grow much longer than it is. It will grow in areas with high flow as well, such as right in front of the powerhead. It's not green like green hair algae, and it's as clumped up as green hair algae usually is.

Does this picture help any?
