maybe, but I just really dont pay attention to all the stuff that shows itself in the initial few months of adding LR. It will eventually die off or get eaten by your fish. It's cool to see the stuff pop up, but in the end it will all go away.

The only thing that I have now that wasnt there in the beginning is a black type sponge that has spread fairly well into a shaded area and forms little tubes off of it. Kinda cool.

That rock has been in since September and it was not live when I put it in. Ink ow six months isn't long but I figured I should've already seen this sort of stuff. Maybe not.

Ya my rock was bleached, then boiled, then sit out for a day in the sun, then soaked in a rubbermate tub for 2 weeks then reused.

There is all sorts of stuff growing on them, that I can't explain where it came from. There was no seed rock added till last week and it was only one piece.
