Green hair algae

Most likely from not using an RODI for your makeup water, and high phosphates.
I would do a search on it and see what people have done to get rid of it.

I would figure out why your phosphates are so high though too if you can. It can be from overfeeding, underskimming, ect.
That way you aren't spending a fortune on GFO all the time.

Is this algae all over the place and on your corals? I am not so sure it is green hair algae.

Doesn't look like GHA to me. Do you have accurate means of measuring your nutrient levels? How long has the tank been set up?

2 years running not on the coral yet keep scrabing the rocks with a toothbrush

I would look for nutrient issue first. As stated above test for nitrate and phosphate.

It looks like sometype of mucus to me.....LIke a build up of proteins, have any of your corals mucused up as of late? I know my Cup coral will throw of some serious mucus after water changes or feeding...
