My tank is only 6 weeks old. I did add the bottles of coraline algae and there is one tiny spot of red but this stuff is all over. I hope it doesn't stay this color. I ordered a bigger CUC. I hope I didn't mess up. I might have a giant nutrient bomb if this stuff is coralline.
Is it also normal for all of my corals to be brown when lights are out? They look great and open up with lights on, and one favia opens up big time with lights out, but he is totally brown?

did you run black out during cycle, yes without lights on most corals will look brown,if green coralline will cover in colors,or die off helping keep calcium up
I didn't turn on lights until adding fish. I cycled my rocks with MicrBactor XLM in a Brute can for 4 months then 1 week in tank. Added fish and small CUC. One month later added corals. One week later started my fuge with chaeto. That is a bird's nest in the pic. It drives me nuts. Gorgeous with lights on though and super fuzzy.
