What are these things? There are a lot of these things and my clownish is attacking them.

They look like hydroids, but that's just my best guess. I could be wrong.

I'm actually not sure on this one (though what it is will probably become apparent as it grows), but hydroids would be my first thought too - the color is unusual though.
