Found this on my frog spawn. Will just hang out but quickly retract if tank is moved.

That’s what I was thinking. But wasn’t sure because of the ones I seen at the LFS were way bigger.

better common name is horse shoe feather duster. They keep small. Usually.

Looks like a tube worm or vermetid. Tube work has such fan that uses it to entrap and catch food. Place a dab of gel super glue over the opening and that should resolve the issue

I’m going to let it be for now. Doesn’t bother the frogspawn one but. Only reason I noticed was the frog spawn closed up due to a temporary angle change on a power head.
It has some very vibrant colors in the pure white light. And the outer fan is tipped in blue.
