Can some one ID? This creature is attached to the side of my Trachyphyllia, on the actual flesh. The "tube" is soft and fleshy, not hard like a vermetid snails. The tentacles or filaments (there are 2 distinct ones) extending out of the tube is about 8" long and is one main pieces with fringe coming off of it, almost like feathery strands. Is it harmful? THANKS !

Not a vermetid snail. Their lines are straight. I'm going to say hydroid, but I'm not 100% positive.

I had one years ago, it lived on a Sarcophyton and caused no harm. It was fun watching it cast its net and real it in. I would say if it isn't bothering any corals, let it be.
