What is this under my zoa colony?

Is this part of the coral or something else? Do large zoa colonies have a foot? Almost looks like a cephalopod

When I picked the colony up off the sand bed and flipped it over, this thing retracted into the colony. It looked like an octopus retreating, but the coral also twisted and got hard, which leads me to think it’s a foot? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Don’t mind the bristleworms. I lost that battle

Looks like a flatworm.
