What is this white patch on my sea urchins?

Mine does that some times. I kind of assume it's spawning but, since mine is solo, I assume it'll never be fertilized. (Normal dietary excrement looks more like little sand pebbles streaming out the top)

I could be completely wrong but that's my assumption so far.
