What is this white stuff??

Just noticed this and it seems to be choking out this section of the colony..

Most sponges will die off over time. I’ve read you can expose them to air to speed up the process. Take the zoas with sponges on them out of the tank for a few minutes. Won’t make them go away instantly or anything, but will speed up their dying process.
 
Yeah...had them on my big colonies of bam bams and dragon eyes. The Zoas ignored the stuff and just grew over it.

5 minute fresh water dip accelerated the demise of the stuff and didn't bother the zoas.

Definitely sponge, sponges are good, shows a healthy tank just not in the place you like it unfortunately
