Uhhhhh tank is cycled lol I have fish and inverts. I used DR tims so figured I skipped the ugly phase but maybe not?

Your bright white shining rocks and sand say otherwise.

Its possible to skip some of the "uglies" but your tank is definitely still cycling. I was able to skip most of the ugly phase also starting with Dr. Tims but there definitely still was normal growth to establish the system beyond the cycle. The nitrogen cycle is just the first step in maturing. I never had any algae outbreaks during my cycle and had similar spots in my sand like the one you pointed out. All I did was siphon the spots out during wc's until I got a sand sifting goby. Now he does all the sand cleaning for me.

I really wouldn’t worry about some brownish spots. Part of the reef hobby. Just monitor water quality and keep it stable within the biblical parameters

Take the plug out of the tank, scrape it off the plug, or replug the coral.

I also see some bubble algae on that plug. Might want to just replug that coral, and chuck the plug.

Not sure what kind of coral that is(looks to be a softie), might be tough to replug.
