What is this zoa telling me? (Illuminati)

Zoa usually has its skirts curled up like this. Is this telling me anything in particular in terms of lighting, etc?

Could be too much lighting. Try moving it lower

Depends on how long ago the frag was introduced & the conditions of it’s previous environment. If it’s a freshly bought frag & conditions of its previous home are completely opposite of your DT, it will stress a bit until it acclimated to its new home. Taking that into account, it is good practice to start new frags at the lower 1/3 of your tank. Zoanthidae are hardy coral & can adapt to various lighting conditions. I would run a parameter test first to see if anything is off balance, from NO3 to PH to Temps, etc. Second, check around it’s foot where it attaches to the frag & see if you there’s anything strange around it. From what I can see in the pic, it looks like it is developing a new polyp, I could be wrong. From my experience I have seen some zoas shrink a bit while developing a new polyp. That is very helpful! It is indeed sprouting a new head, in lower part of tank, and parameters look in check. I guess I will just keep an eye on it...
