I was in Europe for several weeks and just got home and noticed this on my glass. Any ideas?

Looks like a spaghetti worm, harmless member of the clean up crew. They are typically buried in the sand and just put all their little stringers out across the surface of the sand, but I have seen them on the glass and rockwork as well. its mostly closed up in the pick, it has hundreds of those thin noodle like arms, hence the name.

Thanks for the reply. Do I have to worry about the population blowing up?

It's a hair worm epitoke. The population will wax and wane depending on how much you (over) feed, what other detritus eaters you have, etc.
