What is this?!

I turned on my lights and saw this bizzare thing crawling around on the rocks. I only have a 13.5 gallon tank and have never added anything that looks like this. It’s rounded a bit smaller than a golf ball and looks squishy. Any ideas?

I think this may be right. I got a variety pack of snails a month ago. I don’t remember any looking like that but it must have been in there

If it's a cowrie, it likely didn't look like that when you received it. Cowries can pull their mantles over their shell almost covering it. What you're seeing now is the mantle while what you saw when you received it was likely the shell.
