Sold to me as a acan. Not so sure that it is. Looks more like a lobo to me.

Could be a single head of bowerbanki acan..but does really look like a lobo. Size would help, can we get a banana in the shot for reference?

Here's a pic next to a table spoon. I have lobos as well as acans and it doesn't look like either. That's why I'm so unsure of what exactly this coral is.

I'm thinking bowerbanki acan..lobo's inner area would be more sunken in..are your other acans lordhowensis?

Haha everyone on reddit.com has been putting bananas in thier photos for size reference lately..

Is the stony base extended like your lobos with the lines like hammers, and candy canes, or shorter like your other acans?

Huh..guess its a funny looking lobo then..I've seen a few that look really strange due to the way the skeleton grew. There was one a while back at my LFS that had incredible colors, but was folded like a taco so you couldn't hardly see it lol

Skeleton growth is different on lobo and acans so if i can see what it looks like "closed" itll prolly help. Lobos usually have a verrry sharp skeleton under the tissue. N i mean sharp like tips of knives. Where acans grow more long like a blade

That's what it looks like all the time. Just at night it has tentacles that come out of it like an acan for food.

Sounds like u gonna have to touch it n find out lol. N ive even heard of lobos have a horrible smell they leave on ur fingers. Heard that from a friend who use to make people touch it n smell their fingers lol
