My clown has something all over his coat. I'm not sure what it is or how I can treat it. My other clown died 4 days ago and had the same thing the day before he died.

Hard to tell if thats a very bad case of Marine Ich, Marine Velvet or Brooklynella.
Im leaning towards severe case of Ich. Are the dots raised on his body?

No he is slick. It looks like he is shedding like a snake would do his skin.

I believe they will be in the sand and will die off after a certain amount of time if left without any fish to feed on. It's basically like ich but more aggressive.

Do you think it will affect my scooter blennie

If it is one of the parasites listed above it's guarenteed. ich, velvet and brooklynella will cause issues if untreated. Copper seems to be the other thing that will take care of all three. But that obviously has to be done in a quarentine tank.
