Dang I was hoping it wasn't that!
I've looked it up and the pics don't match up
But I'm sure there is a lot of species of pest anemones
I thought it was a carpet nem cause it's so flat and paper thin.
When I touch it with the tweezers it closes to an oval but doesn't
Go inside the rock.

I found something called an ugly duckling anemone that is part of the
Rock anemone family. People actually are buying rock with them on it.
So I'm saying it can't be harmful. They been or the rock along time and actually increase the value
Of the rock. I like it it fluoresces brighter than anything in my tank.
So I'm gonna keep them and just watch them grow.
If they start multiplying I will remove them if it gets out of hand, I guess I can just remove the rock.
I thank everyone for their input.

Unless you have a copperdband angle or some peppermint shrimp to keep them in check, I wouldn't leave them.
You don't like Rock Nems?
[h=2]Rock Anemones[/h] Description:
Rock or Flower anemones (Epicystis crucifer) are very easy to take care of. They don't sting any other corals and you can put a bunch of them together side by side in the same tank if you so desire. They are normally found in rocky bottoms attached to substrate. Feed them once a week meaty foods like brine shrimp or PE mysis and they will be very happy. Rock anemones grow to about 6" in the wild, but we do not collect those. Normally the ones that we sell vary from 1-3". They will and have the ability to expand or contract as they please. All my pictures are taken under leds with most lighting being blue. Blue leds will show their best coloration. These look very different under white led or metal halides.

I love maxi-anemones but that 1st pic is a majano,, won't grow more than 1"
Rock anemones get much much bigger, prob up to 4" if not more
