Hello everyone! Been watching this forum for awhile but never participated, just read and learned. My boyfriend and I got live rock from a LFS in Frederick, MD. We've noticed a few of these in our tank, we've come to think they're snails. Just wondering if they're good or bad. We were able to catch one to get a picture. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

awesome! thanks for the replies! we're putting it back into our tank then. We've had the tank for about a month or so and its our first saltwater. Gemini where are you from?

Stomatell snails, perfect for algae control on the live rock, can see them during night cause are nocturn and they breed fast!

We've noticed quite a few and seem to notice more as time goes by but if they're safe we'll keep em. Normally see them on our rocks and a few on the tank glass but nothing bothersome. Thanks for all the help guys!

we've noticed how fast they move! that's what I keep mentioning is how they're faster than most snails I've seen! we've noticed more, but now thanks to this forum we have no worries!
