Hello All,

As is clear from the image we do have a lingering GHA situation, though it is now mostly focused in two locations in the tank. It's been a long road getting this far.

But now we noticed this string of what looks like mucus with some clear bubbles rising from the algae. Is this part of the GHA lifecycle or a whole different problem?

Any advice is welcome. We know our tank isn't perfect. :)

Ok. Our strategy for the algae has been to lower nitrates and phosphates (which we have had some success so far using NOPoX and regular water changes). So far we've gone from having it everywhere - (manual removal every few days use to be necessary and even then it grew back quickly) - to having a few tufts here and there that grow slowly enough we don't mind it too much.

The dinoflagellates- that seems like a new problem. :(

Thanks for the feedback- any advice is welcome!

Raising the mag with Kent Tech M Magnesium supplement will help with the bryopsis. I've known several buddies to use it with good results.
