Hi I've had this coral for a while and never know what it was. Idk if it is lps. All I know is I was told if it touches any other corals it will almost instantly kill the area where it touched.

Maybe a hydnophora. By the ability to kill another coral fits, but if a hydnophora is listed as SPS but many who have it will disagree. Eats like a LPS. A better picture may help.

Hydnophora are both encrusting and branching.

Just make sure you keep it away from everything else those things are killers mine is all by itself

I had both encrusting and branching. Encrusting looks nothing like branching. Before i knew the corals reputation i had it with other sps corals. One day it looked like something covered my corals with spiderwebs. The next day the hydnophora was the only thing not dead. Everything within maybe a 5" radius of it was pure white.
