Thanks

Did you buy it, or did is just appear in yiur tank?

It was on the same rock for a long time, but in past few months it has grown in size and colored up nicely. I definitely did not buy it. That is why I was wondering what it is.

I doubt it is Pavona venosa.

From the link

Pavona venosa
(Ehrenberg, 1834)

Colonies are massive to encrusting. Corallites are in short valleys with acute walls. Septo-costae are generally in three orders and are widely spaced. Columellae are poorly developed or absent.

Colour: Yellow-brown or pinkish-brown, sometimes mottled.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments.

Abundance: Usually uncommon but distinctive.

This thing is very vibrant green...

Forget about color; you can't do a scientific ID on color - only structure.

Plus, the color descriptions Veron supplies are under natural sunlight; far different than the lighting we use in aquaria.

Looks more like Pavona venose than a Leptoseris, just by looking at the skeletal structure, plus Leptoseris usually have mouths here and there that stand out, where the pavonas don't.
