Will it multiply? Or will I just have the one lol..

Yes unfortunately it will multiply. Some hobbyist really like the look of palys, for me they are too invasive. Now if it was a Sunny Delight Palys that would be different, but it looks like a green or brown, which can be attractive I just do not want a tank full of palys which is what can happen.

I apologise if this is a silly question and do tell me if I am being thick lol.. But say they were to become too much and I decided I wanted to keep some but not too many am I able to remove some without effecting the rest?

No need to apologize. :)

The problem arises on two fronts, the first is that some Palys are extremely toxic to humans when manipulated or internal fluids of the palys is released therefore it's important to keep that in mind when removing palys. Next they spread out in a mat formation which can prove difficult to remove without removing the rock structure the palys have grown on to.

yes but.... Usually very high in Paly toxin. I have mine contained to two rocks(2 types of paly) I use aptasia x to "cull the herd" and kill heads off individually.
also my palys are on two rocks that can come out of the tank easily.

I see.. So fingers crossed they are either nice enough to stay or do not go crazy which seems the most likely Thank you very much for you help

Was just thinking.. You can't add coral during the tank cycling process yet I seem to be having coral grow whilst my tank is cycling... ?? I have 0 Ammonia, 0.25 Nitrite and around 15 Nitrate yet coral is growing.. Any advice on this?

the corals aren't adding to the bio load like fish do in a closed system. as long as the ammonia levels aren't toxic level. Some Corals grow better with a little nitrate present.

So with my Ammonia levels being at 0 I could go out today and purchase some coral?

that's your choice. I would say that you should take a little more time though. The last thing you want to do is spend a lot of cash just to watch something die on a question answered with no more info than you gave

good advice.
the tank is likely cycled. live sand live rock. = live"cycled" tank. in the next week or two you may or may not have the uglies, thats a time of constant change as the micro algaes bacterias and animals establish themselves. (ie dinos cyano etc that you can see come and go) Corals in general like stability, and this process(uglies) creates that.
