Been cycling for 1 month and im only waiting on nitrate to 0, its at 10. Now this cloudy thing popped up. People say it will go away but it keeps on growing. Any ideas on what it is and is it dangerous? And any other test kits yall recommend besides the api sw kit

Kind of looks like a sponge. If it is, its good, just leave it alone, it will grow. I would switch to at least Salifert test kits, there are better ones, but these are pretty accurate. Almost anything is better than API. Also, you can always do a large water change to reduce your nitrates.

I thought i was supposed to wait till my levels were at 0 to do the water change.

Ammonia and nitrite must both peak and fall, which will then result in a peak in nitrate, at this point you can perform your water change.

10ppm of nitrate isn't that bad, IMO.

Ok i will do a water change tomorrow then will wait 1 week to see what happens before ordering cuc
