What is this ?

Have several of these growing single stalks any ideas?

It looks like either a Vermetid snail or a Spionid worm IMO.

If they have webbing coming from the end of the tube or around them then they are vermetid snails. If they have two long sticky feelers (palps), which periodically come out, wave around and then go back in, then they are spionid worms. Those are what I guess from what I can see. Based on your answer, I will know if it might be one of those or not.
