Looks like diatom to me.

phos=0
nit=0

Nit is Nitrate right?
With these both at 0.0 you starving your bacteria in your tank that in their turn will take care of the algae.
Your tank looks awesome btw,
Can you tell me what test kits you're using?

yeah nitrate....maybe its just cycling again or something. i do 10gal water changes every week since i had a bryopsis outbreak a month ago so i raised my Mag to 1900+ for a month using tech M. all the bryopsis algae died with no coral or fish effects...(maybe lost a blue leg crab or 2) but ever since all that went away my sand has been super dirty like this. i use all Red Sea test kits.

Water changes always seemed to fuel my diatom problems. That said, that doesn't really look like diatoms to me. Mine were more evenly distributed on the sand, not in round blotches like that. Any new live or dry rock added recently?
