I was given some corals when a friend broke down their tank. In his tank this coral was beautiful, open, and magnificent. He didn't remember the name, please help.
Also, what conditions does it need. I have moved it a couple of times in the last month or so and I never seem to get any response from it besides what you see in pic.
Thanks,
Robert

P.S. The Rose Anemone is farther away than it looks in pic. Approx 6"+

Looks like a lobo that's receding. Is the anemone making contact with the coral? Typically medium light, bottom to middle of the tank with low to moderate indirect flow. How different are your parameters and lighting compared to the tank it came from from?

The enormous shouldn't be making contact. I do have in near the top right now, and as far as perimeters, they are close and I drip acclimated this guy. My lighting is way better. I am running two Kessil ap700, and he had led's from China.
I think I will start by moving it lower and away from anemones.
Thanks,
Robert

Thank you all. I found him a spot almost tucked under an outcrop with lower flow and on the bottom. He is already showing signs of improvement.

Compare pic from top of thread. Sorry about pic quality.

That’s good looking coral. That looks like a acan
