Friend found this in my tank. She said it looks like a pansy flower from the top.

Can you get us a better picture, maybe with the blues turned off. Looks, just from the shape, that it maybe a Flatworm-Polyclad. Is it brown and kinda camouflage looking? Need to see its color for a better ID.

I have no idea. My tank has been at a friends home since Harvey. I’ll ask her to take a picture with blues off. I have no idea if it moves. I’ll find out more info and reply with what I learn and hopefully a better picture. If it is a flatworm could it be the reason my shrimp keep disappearing? Will it hurt my fish? Will it hurt a BTA because I plan on getting one in the future. I hate killing any living critter but at this point I’m willing to get rid of something that will kill my cuc etc.

That Polyclad Flatworm can be bad news. Most toss them. Maybe send your friend the link and have them scroll through and look at the Polyclad.

Looks like a Green Palys to me based on the little I can see, but that is best guess.

Pictures taken just now. With white lights. Hope these are good enough to ID them. I’ll go by this afternoon after work and try to see it in person and take more pictures.

Went by this evening and attempted to get better pictures. I do know that they haven’t moved since they popped up. They look like flowers. Turns out that my iPhone 7 doesn’t take the best pictures either. Or maybe it’s operator error. Lol

Flatworms would be moving around. I’d go with the experienced of @tahoe69 on this one
