What is this

Hey everyone. I am on my first reef tank and I am out of town this week. Today my wife sent me this picture and told me it was purple. I am not sure what it is, but I started with pukani dry rock, bleach bath for a week and fresh rodi water bath for a week.

I think, if it is anything, it is from my snails, but just want to know what it is. I don't know if it is hard or removes from the rock easily. I will figure that out this weekend. Sorry for the bad photo.

Any ideas?

Ok so it is almost calcified. It is like rock, but when I scratched it with my nail one of the nubs scratched off.

Any ideas?
