Any idea what these are? They are only in this one spot. Looks like pods but not positive as I'm relatively new to the hobby and keeping pod populations.

Yes it's a type of colonial hydroid (not exactly the same as the polyp-y looking ones that grow on frag) but a hydroid nonetheless
 
From what I've read these are bad then correct? What's the best way to get rid of them?
 
I've never specifically had those. I had/have what are called "jellyfish hydroids" that kinda look like sea anemones. They don't really harm anything and disappear/reappear every so often
 
I’ve had many outbreaks of hydroid jellyfish, but I haven’t seen anything with those connecting strings before. Doesn’t look like colonial hydroids either, to me.

They are super small and very hard to see. They don't seem to be bothering anyting. My fish swim by them and my pods seem to be moving through the structure with no observed effects.
